Description

Interactive course and instructional video created to reach learners from a distance, at their own pace, and at their own time. This course provides basic history of the dance genre, give examples of artists to listen to, and demonstrates basic steps at multiple speeds.

Using Merrill’s First Principles of Design, this course started as a simple idea. We were told to create a course based on something we were passionate about for our continuing education credit. As a dancer, this was an easy decision. I started my research by studying my own salsa dancing recordings from years past. This allowed me to narrow down what the basic steps were to properly plan this course.
